Under 12 Girls- Kilkenny & District League Shield Finalists

Deen Celtic 1-1 Kilkenny United WFC (AET)- Deen Celtic won 4-2 on penalties

Following what was a tough season for the young Kilkenny squad in the league, we were placed in the shield competition alongside 6 other competitors. We were drawn away to Highview Athletic in the Semi-Finals and came away with a 2-1 victory to set up the Final against Deen Celtic.

Going in 0-0 at half time it was all to play for in the 2nd half of the final. Kilkenny took the lead in the final through Hayley Hawe. A very well worked goal. Unfortuately Deen Celtic equalised to force extra time. A penalty shootout decided the winner and unfortuately for the Kilkenny Girls it was Deen Celtic who came out on top.

Massive well done to all involved. An impressive performance overall from a young side. We will most definitely see this squad in more cup finals in years to come!!

Paris Saint Germain v Kilkenny United WFC...

Wow.. 9 years ago when Kilkenny United was an idea who'd have ever thought statements like this would become a reality?

Our Under 14s squad travelled over to Paris on April 15th ahead of the game. A massive opportunity for this great group of players and our club as a whole.

As a club we were delighted to take on Paris Saint Germain Academy in Paris. This was a huge opportunity for our club and we are extremely grateful to all at PSG Academy for helping us to facilitate this game. It was a massive game for the Girls and our club as a whole and the girls really did the club proud. Well done to all involved.

This wasn't the only massive opportunity offered to the girls this year as the girls also had to opportunity to take on Arsenal FC, West Ham United, Manchester United, Liverpool, Rotherham United and Stoke City FC this year alone!!

With more plans in the pipeline for 2025, Kilkenny United is the place to be!!

2023/24 Season so far

Kilkenny United WFC Under 9's:

The Kilkenny United Under 9's Girls Continue to train twice a week in The Watershed. They had a very good encounter recently against East End United in The Watershed. Some very good football was played by all. It was clear that they were trying to implement some of the new ideas that they learned in training in match play.

Kilkenny United WFC Under 10's:

The Under 10's division was introduced into the Kilkenny League at the beginning of the season. The vast majority of our Under 9's along with their U10 teammates compete in this league. There have been some very good games played so far this season by the Kilkenny United girls against the likes of Thomastown United, Clover United and Evergreen. We look forward to seeing the continuous development of our U10s team in the 2nd half of the season.

Kilkenny United WFC Under 11's:

The Kilkenny United U11's girls are flying it in the Kilkenny League. Some very impressive displays have been put on so far this season by a very talented group of players. We look forward to the 2nd half of the season and the beginning of the Under 11's Cup in the Kilkenny & District Soccer League.

Kilkenny United WFC Under 12's:

To give the girls the opportunity to experience some competitive football, we decided to enter a very young team into the Kilkenny & District U12 Girls Soccer League. The squad is vastly made up of 2013/14 and 15 players. Although the results haven't gone their way, the football that they have played against some top teams on a number of occasions has been impressive. It is clear to see how this opportunity benfits the girls when they return to playing U10/11's non-competitive football. We look forward to the post Christmas Break when the division splits into 2 divisions and we can compete against teams of a similar level on a fortnightly basis.

Kilkenny United WFC Under 13's:

Our U13's currently sit 3rd in the Wexford Schoolgirls League Premier Division with 3 points on the table from 2 games. The girls put in an impressive performance away to Ballindaggin to get the 3 points with goals coming from Aoibhe Meegan, Molly Conroy and Kate Conroy (x2)

Kilkenny United WFC Under 14's:

Our under 14's sit top of the Wexford Schoolgirls League Premier Division with 7 points on the table from a possible 9. A great start to the season picking up vital wins against Curracloe United and New Ross Town and a Draw against Courtown Hibs. The girls have also progressed to the Last 32 of the SFAI National Trophy where they will take on Glen Magic Soccer FC.

Kilkenny United WFC Under 16's:

Our young Under 16's side remain unbeaten in their division picking up 9 points from a possible 9 with convincing wins against New Ross Celtic, Cushinstown and Wexford Celtic.
